For the profoundly ignorant like HealingVibrations: 1-Auto insurance is to protect OTHER people! 2-It is imposed by the STATES who can make any laws that do not violate the constitution. Read the constitution (it's a LOT shorter then the healthcare bill), history, plus the Federalist Papers to get a clue. Obama says , the problem with the Constitution is it puts LIMITs on what the federal government can do, e.g., NOT provide welfare, NOT require healthcare, etc. That's its beauty!

It all started with auto insurance, if you dont have it, you get fined. With all the money that people spend a year in auto insurance in 10 years you could have a new car. Is it fascism? Hell yeah. America has become a fascist oligarchy.
