Blankets are a very popular newborn baby gift, and that is because babies use a ton of them, they serve a variety of different purposes. So here I have three of my favorite blankets for those different purposes.

The first one is a receiving blanket, or stroller blanket. Just basically something to lay over your shoulder if you are holding the baby, to put over them in the stroller, or even to put on the ground, for tummy time when baby is learning how to push himself up, and use his arms, and learn to crawl. For this type of blanket it is really important that they be super soft, which is why I love little giraffes so much. These blankets are so, so, soft and cuddly. They have a satin trim which babies really love to feel between their fingers. These cost seventy-nine dollars.

The second type of blanket that is really important to have is a swaddling blanket. Our best seller here is something called the "baby bonky", because it is a really easy to use swaddle. You do not have to learn the technique, folding up the blanket, wrapping it around a certain way. The bonky takes all of the work out of it for you. It is very simple, velcro flaps that you put, you know, the baby in, and then close it up. It is really easy. They come in so many adorable different prints, and they are machine washable. So it is definitely, we highly recommend the bonky for any newborn baby.

In terms of the third blanket choice, we have the 'keepsake blanket'. This is something that the baby will use, but also that they will have forever. You know even onto adulthood people tend to save these. So we like to do monogramming for the keepsake blanket, so this is just one example. This client chose light blue, and fuschia with the child's classic monogram, but we have a variety of color choices. You can do just their name, instead of the monogram. You can do a nickname, anything like that, just to make it really personal and special. Personal is always great when you are giving a gift. So those are our three top blanket choices for baby blankets.
