What is it that you're using for a barre? Is it just a table? or..?

When your foot is off the ground it should be pointed at hard as u can..... but nice arches went up on pointe.

Well 3rd position should be less en-dehors than fifth, not only less closed... And I don't know any teacher who teaches 3rd position to people who have already started working in 5th as it is just a preparation for it... But it may depend on teachers and countries... It would look much nicer if you worked in 5th position, and I'm pretty sure that if you practice pointe, you're able to do a correct fifth position...
