This is an awesome song by Ashley Tisdale and as soon as I heard it I formulated this plot, so this is how it goes: Casey wanted Sam to be the right guy for her, but it didn't work out that way. Ever since their break-up she has been very vulnerable and jaded by love. Just when she has given up on finding "the one" Derek comes along and picks up the pieces. Enjoy!
