  • am doing light weights and more playo my pbs 15m ish is heavy really nesessary. my impact stuff comes from plyo

  • @newburghlife 15m is what? what is your pb exactly?

  • Personal bests (in athletics, not lifting)?

Snatch looked pretty good, btw. DL made me cringe just a little.

  • @lease2coach1 What made you cringe over the deadlift? Back position? Was straight but the camera angle doesnt help but im more than happy to hear any comments you may have.

Im just starting my 3rd year of training as a triple jumper, but struggled all last year with tech issues which held me back a lot. TJ: 14.59m LJ:6.74m

  • @Manuelcr7 well I'm sorry to say its a 20kg bar two 20kg plates and two 5kg plates. I didn't account for your inability to count.

  • what about squats?

  • @sjurinho 140k ish to parallel

  • @omatto 15m 10 is my pb though wrecke my ankle pole vaulting last year so am in the lower 14m right now which isnt fun.

I understand the weights was just wondering is there a certain point where it dosnt need to get really heavy. The heavier it gets the more quads dominant you will become espcially with squats.

  • @omatto Have you heard of Charles Poliquin? He has trained Olympic medalists in 19 different sports. You should begin devouring his work, including liking him on facebook. Congratulations on your accomplishments so far, GREAT job! I mention Poliquin for many reasons but firstly because he advocates a full squat, describing it as a wonderful ankle, knee, and hip extension exercise. He also advocates front squats as they are more quad-centric, helping your starts a LOT. Good luck!

  • nice mna

  • great vid

  • @omatto Yeah, the back position bothered me, but on re-review I stand corrected and withdraw my comment! I was misled by the rounded back *between* reps--and, as you say, the angle.

Those are some pretty good PRs for someone who's been "held back"! Best of luck with 15m and 7m!

  • whats your best triple jump?
