Before Promised Land was released EMI, Queensryche's record label at the time, put out this short promotional video. While some of it was included on the Promised Land CD-Rom video game, some portions were omitted.

  • While I think the album is a phenomenal piece of work that I can listen to over & over again, I thought the promotion of the album absolutely sucked once it was released. I would never have released I Am I first, followed by Bridge and Dis Con Nec Ted. Taken individually, the songs just didn't have the mainstream appeal to grab people's attention like the Empire album did.

I would have released My Global Mind first, followed by One More Time, Out of Mind, Damaged, and Someone Else.

  • CHRIS WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED ! ~I THINK EVERYONE FEELS THIS WAY~ BUT I MUST ADD FOR ME QUEENSRYCHE IS STILL HERE AND NOW ! I remember going to LED ZEPPELIN Too, best concert ever .We miss Bonham too.Things change life changes, Maybe someday Chris will miss the magic that was QUEENSRYCHE . • wow, never seen this whole footage before for this album which was their creative peak but also their tombstone.

  • chris should have done Vocals for this song, just like he did on All I Want

  • Promised land is one of the GREATEST albums in HM history !

Operation Mindcrime is a small child compared to this album !

There's special magic and beauty in this album !

  • The problem with Promised Land is it took entirely too long for Queensryche to make and release after Empire and Livecrime. Nearly 5 years? By that time hair metal and this kind of rock was finished and grunge was king.

  • Thanks for posting this guys!!

    Promise Land is a MASTERPIECE

high up in my list of the top 10 albums of the 90's. Just magnificent.

  • Very cool, never seen this before! My first word when I was born was Queensryche and I've never, never will look past this band! Take these guys to heart very much!

  • "Promised Land" came out in America on my 9th birthday; October 18, 1994. It's one of my FAV Queensryche albums.

  • promised land is the most creative work they've put out!unique arrangements, extremely well written lyrics, progressive compositions that never tire, excellent instrument playing plus really personal but also globally reflecting concept!all these come together to create a monumental album!

  • Very cool. First time I've seen this bit of footage. I'm anxious to check out the interview with Geoff & Chris for the 20th Anniversary of Empire. Promised Land was a great follow up to Empire!
