sooooo... the only difference between arena and 2081 is that you cant play arena singleplayer and cant play 2081 multiplayer (2081=SP, Arena=MP) what kinda bullshit is that? i dont fucking want to pay twice for the full package. even cod 1 had mp and sp in one FUCKING game...

Miner Wars 2081 and Miner Wars Arena are two completely different games/project, they just share same "universe"

i watched totalbiscuits "wtf is..." about miner wars arena and some gameplay videos about 2081, and to be honest... there wasnt much difference.

oh sorry my bad, i mistaken a miner wars 2081 review with the "wtf is... miner wars arena" video from totalbiscuit. (i never actually watched TB's "wtf is..." about miner wars arena but since 99% of all reviews i watch are from TB i assumed that the 2081 review was the "wtf is... miner wars arena" video) so yeah nevermind >.< great work on 2081 btw, the only thing i dont understand is the online drm, but the game itself looks really nice. just bought a copy in fact, definitely worth 20 bucks.

It's no surprise; they did the same thing back in 2010.

Namely, they got a number of people to pre-purchase "Miner Wars", which was being marketed as a combined MMO and shooter. They then proceeded to split it into "MMO" and "2081", claiming that the MMO was "always meant to be a separate product".

It's extremely unprofessional.

because not "everyone" is constantly connected to the Internet, and even those that are usually have less-than-perfect Internet connections

it's really, really stupid to expect people to put up with lag and disconnects while playing something single-player. Not that anyone will ever read this, as the guys who made this game are now removing comments criticising it, paragons of maturity that they are

People are always connected with the Internet, why is perma-connection a problem?

Sure, if the servers crash, then it doesn't work...but it's nearly the only way to ensure that nobody "steals" your game. Like Diablo3, i actually never found a pirated version of it on the Internet.

i actually boought most of the assassins creed series games and played ALL of them with reloaded's or skidrow's crack's. (or server emulator whatever you want to call em.)
