  • The students had already seen this one and were working in groups. One of my students with a knack for film and editing took one of my higher order thinking challenges to record this.

  • In fact iodine does NOT sublime (mp 114C, bp 185C) but it SEEMS to sublime because these points are so close together....

In a test tube you may see droplets of liquid iodine.

  • We watched this in my high school chem class, CHS FTW!

  • Those students need to shut up and learn something. What's the teacher to student %? A lot of American classes seem to be getting uncontrollable. We need much smaller class sizes. I have a friend who works as a teacher and students regularly make credible threats of violence toward her and their fellow students. We need more educators or we are just doing crowd control.

  • was that a evaporation basin u place untop of the beaker?

  • Thank you so much for this! In my college chemistry class my professor decided not to do this experiment. I had been looking forward to it... but he said to look for a video on youtube of this experiment and this video was perfect, thank you!
