The last one I had I learned something. I had gone to the ER alone, they couldn't give me narcotics because I was driving. They started an IV of saline and liquid motrin. It stopped the pain in about 15 minutes. That lasted for about 2 hours. They had given me a script for painkillers. Oral motrin does not work like the IV motrin.

I just passed a big one yesterday,been getting em for 30 years now,I find that if I drink plenty of water and go lighter on the heavy meats,coffee and tea, I can allmost prevent them,of course I've gotten addicted to pain pills,but I'm working on being free of that, Peace, john

I have had kidney stones in the past, but I have never caught one. Even when i got lasered, the doctors never checked my pee.

I have bought a special sieve ready for the next one that pops out my japeye.

I want to see its face and shout at it.

@Goulet33 GO VEGAN no animal products such as not eating meat or dairy or anything that comes from an animal( that includes fish and other seafood as well as honey)

vegan is the healthiest diet their is. you feel GREAT i eat mostly vegan but i'm a vegetarian right now.

i have kidney stones have not gone thru surgery yet im hoping it goes away n i just piss it off.. it really hurts like a bitch.. so i heard it hurts more than child birth.. my attacks have seized i hope they never come back

@limeyboosk The urologist gave me a simple large funel with a mesh plastic catcher, urine goes threw but stones dont' So they are caught with this filter. If you can not see the stones, maby they were not large. Even small ones can hurt,, but the 6 I passed AT HOME were so large I could see them in the comode. Needless to say, now my LEFT KIDNEY is permantly dammaged, and the urologist said it will die and have to be removed. I hope you never have to go threw this.
