1- Wahhabis claimed that Sheikh Abdullah curses ^Aishah and Mu^awiah and companions and referenced page 182 of the explanation of "at-Tahawiyah". We searched that page and found nothing of what they claimed whatsoever!
Rather we find in his book "Bughiat at-Talib" Sheikh Abdullah says in page 347:
وقال في الكتاب ذاته ص/347 ما نصه:"و أما الآل فإن أريد بهم مطلق أتباع النبي الأتقياء، فتجب محبتهم لأنهم أحباب الله تبارك و تعالى بما لهم من القرب إليه بطاعته الكاملة، و إن أريد به أزواجه و أقرباؤه المؤمنون فوجوب محبتهم لما خصوا به من الفضل." اهـ
"Among the obligations of the heart is to love the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وءاله وصحبه وسلم) and his Kind Al, his Wives and his Companions due to their high honorable status" and he says about ^Aishah "Ummul-mu'mineen, Radiallahu ^Anha" and that she is the most knowledgeable woman and that she must be loved and respected.
And on page 375 of "al-Bughia" Sheikh said:
ص/375 ما نصه:"من معاصي اللسان سب أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم، قال الله تعالى:"و السابقون الأولون من المهاجرين و الأنصار و الذين اتبعوهم بإحسان رضي الله عنهم و رضوا عنه"، هؤلاء هم أولياء الصحابة و سب أحدهم أعظم إثما و اشد ذنبا من سب غيره" اهـ.
Which means: "And from the sins of the tongue is to curse or cuss the companions of teh Prophet (صلى الله عليه وءاله وصحبه وسلم) as Allah praised them in al-Qur'an: {..Radiallahu ^Anhum Wa Radu ^Anh}. And cussing one of them is greater and worse in sin than cussing others". And in another point he says "Cursing and cussing all the companions entirely, is considered as kufur".
As for Mu^awiah, What sheikh Abdullah said about him was the Hadith of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وءاله وصحبه وسلم: which is: "ويح عمار تقتله الفئة الباغية" which means "Praised be Ammar (bin Yassir), he will be killed by the aggressors" and so Mu^awiah is considered an aggressor as the Prophet said in the hadith. Sheikh and his students don't say he is kafir or cuss him! And In his book "Sarihul-Bayan" Sheikh Abdullah mentioned the sayings of Imam Shafi^iy and imam Abul Hassan al-'Ashariy about Mu^awiah being wrong in fighting Imam ^Aliy based on the hadith of the Prophet. But wahhabis insist on permitting lies in order to diminish their opponent! but surely they have failed in that attempt.
What's the judgment of Riba gain?
Wahhabis lie about Sheikh Abdullah al-Harariy a lot, because they are unable to refute the proofs in exposing their extremism and unable to respond to the debates against them. Among these lies is their claim that Sheikh Abdullah says Riba, Gambling is not haram and they falsely reference page 99 of "al-Bughiah"!! And again that's their way of diminishing those who disagree with their aqeedah. And that's no surprise, because If they consider scholars like Imam an-Nawawiy as misguided what do you expect of other scholars??
Going back to page 99 of al-Bughiah we find Sheikh talking about the obligations of Ghusul and Hayd for the women! Nothing of what they claimed. However, we do find sheikh in al-Bughiah the saying that "Eating, Riba dealing with it or benefiting from it is a large sin".
And in his book "Bahjatun-Nadhar" question#284 says: "Is consuming the money of usurious gain (الربا) counted from the sins of the abdomen?
Answer: Yes, consuming the usurious gain (riba) is from the sins of the abdomen. The prophet, salla-l-lahu ^alayhi wa sallam, said: "لعن الله آكل الربا وموكله" رواه أبو داود Which means that Allah damned the consumer and provider of usurious gain (Abu Dawud)."
And in "al-Bahja" in question# 233 says: "Speak about ar-Riba.?
Answer: Ar-Riba is haram and that it is being haram is known by necessity among the Muslims (Ijma^). It is haram to deal with, benefit from, write and witness the contract of riba. The worse type of ar-Riba is the riba due to a loan (Riba-l-Qard). The riba due to a loan is every loan whose contract stipulates an interest either to the lender alone, or to the lender and the borrower."
And in the same page he gives many examples of the different types of Riba in currency, trades and gold and silver and others and deems them all as haram transactions. Also see answers to questions 233 - 255 that talk about the unlawful transactions including Riba.
And so it can be seen clearly that Sheikh Abdullah did not come up with anything new, rather he reported the sayings of the great scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah namely Imams as-Shafi^iy, Abu Hanifah, Malik and Ahmad (Radiallahu ^Anhum).
