STS 124 EVA 1 was performed by Mission specialists Mike Fossum and Ron Garan. Today's wake up call was for Japanese astronaut Akihiko Hoshide. "Hold me with the robot arm" Written by Akihiko Hoshide and performed by his friends. Domo arigato.

The spacewalk was amazing. Unberthing and installation of the KIBO module produced some of the best orbital footage we have ever seen. Congratulations to NASA and ISS partner nations.
