Arrival, Prove It

Made up primarily of members from Liverpool, the band Arrival is one of Britains best ever vocal groups! This number is an Aretha Franklin cover titled Prove It, written by Randy Evretts/Horace Ott, and arranged by Frank Collins, The lead vocal is sung by the gorgeous Dyan Birch. Sensitive harmonies always with this band, but approached in an assertive, precise, soulful and confident way. Augmented by the string arrangements of Paul Buckmaster, it's simply perfection.
Some of the finest vocal music out of the UK in the history of popular music came from this group.

Hi tsunami - thx for this brilliant track, just wonderful vintage and best of Arrival.I love them, and I don't like to correct you, but Frank Collins did not write this song. Sorry to name drop but he is an old friend, so just called him to check. He explains it was from a very early Aretha Franklin album and he wrote a completely new arrangement of it, even with a different time signature. Although it sounds like a new song, he did not write the original . And thx for posting all the tracks.

This was the best song on the best album of ever. Its sat in my loft - I do not have any means of playing it - wish ot would come out on CD.

Agreed, there should be a release of all of Arrival's stuff on one CD compilation. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, the minute it was released.

I always loved the hit singles they had. Is there any chance of obtaining their music on CD? Is there anyone I can get in touch with about this? There was a recent release of music from the original Brotherhood of Man and they only had one major hit. What about this group?  Is there a record company to talk to or someone with an old copy that can be converted to CD? I would be happy if someone could give me some good info on this. Thank you.
