Wardman Sicklepatch - Snail rider.

The idea of this piece was to create sort of a fun fantasy picture of a house built on top of a snail. I also wanted to try a different type of sky then I've done. Sort of a "big weather" day where the there's light rays pouring through gaps in the clouds. It was a little cumbersome for me, and there're some flaws. I felt I had a lot of success with some new texture brushes I made for the snail skin.

Original Resolution 3200_2400. 12 hours in photoshop CS1, 15 if you count the sketches.

Hey good job POP, just wondering, how did you do the cool texture effect around 3:40 involving the snail skin? It goes way to fast for me to catch. Thanks in advance for any help!

I made a new texture brush that laid a snail skin sorta pattern according to brush angle.

Cool, do you mean setting the orientation to pen angle? Or is it angle jitter? I cant find it!

Hey! You mentioned the resolution in the description. But that's the size of the picture, is it? I mean, what size did you have and what resolution was it?
