What's always interested me in seeing many of these Doris Day outtakes is that Doris out of character is the same person as Doris in character. Except she says "damn." I've seen considerable footage of her in life outside movie and T.V. series making and she is the same person we've always thought of as Doris Day. Finally I met someone who knew her well and she said, "Yes, same person. Who could go around imitating someone else all their lives after all?" Good point.
