This has been seriously twisted. The ban was on hunting with dogs, not guns. Pretty much anyone can have a gun in England so long as you don't have a violent criminal record and you have somewhere secure (under lock and key) to put the gun - perfectly reasonable no?

Also, no one in England is worried about gun crime, it's just so rare?????

This has NOTHING to do with guns. The Hunting ban was implemented to make hunting with dogs illegal. Firearms are not illegal. They are just strictly controlled, and it is a good thing.

Have the government ever thought about the fact that increasing gun control actually increases gun crime. Gun control only disarms citizens, which means they cant protect themselves from criminals. Besides, gun control only controls legal firearms, criminals dont get their guns legally do they? Our government = Muppets.

Time is the enemy of Gun Controllers. As time passes and violent crime goes up and up, the Controllers will see the error of their ways. When the Gun Controllers see that tax payers are not paying for they are dead and the non paying criminals live off the taxes. The taxes base will disappear. Time will pass and crime will go up. I just wonder how many have to die before change.
