Video interview with Lance Cpl. Adam Devine on his health via Skype

Adam was wounded in action Dec. 28 by an improvised explosive device (IED) while on duty in the Sangin district in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. He lost both of his legs from above the knee.

He updates us on his health status and spirit, via Skype, from his hospital room at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

My son is active 3/5 senior Marine. You have a amazing positive outlook. My son best friend Romo lost his legs in the same way. Jacob Romo now does support for the wounded now. His mother words helped him. "Don’t say ‘WHY? Say what now?’ You can contact him.

Keep your head up Adam. Thanks for putting your life on the line for the U.S. I'm sure every person in Dixon is grateful for what you hand done and gave up to do your job to protect us. Some might wonder what you do over there that protect us over here, and the fact is if you didn't fight them over there, they would come over here. So thanks again.
