I generally pronounce it "oo-boon-too". But pronunciation doesn't really matter. By the way, I spy a seal over the webcam...I know it's there because mine has one :D

Did you use this at all with the OS it came loaded with? I played around with it in Best Buy today and it seemed pretty easy. Mostly I'd like to get it to do my writing with. Obviously the size is attractive as it's easier to transport. I want to be able to surf the web, check email, maybe listen to music and watch videos, but nothing too extravagant. Think this is a good choice? Thanks!

I did mess around with Xandros for awhile. As long as you dont want to tinker with your OS a lot and get down to the nitty gritty of things, it'll be fine.

The onlyconcern I would have with you getting the Eee is the keyboard size. If you plan on writing a lot, check ou HP's Mini. It has a nearly full size keyboard that'll making typing a breeze. The trade off is its bigger and more expensive.

Good luck!

Its a netbook, so you arent gonna get anything really fast. Netbooks are great for surfing the web, creating office documents, and other light productivity work, but not much else. The screen is 1024 x 600 resolution, which is a good pixel density for its size, but less then a standard notebook. Most web pages will dispaly fine though. It connects to the net either through the included 10/100 Ethernet port, or the built in wireless b/g card. The keyboard is small, but usable.

Hope this helps.
