That last bad overtake at 8:40 I've dealt with before. Some would rather risk their lives driving into oncoming traffic than wait for a safe time to pass. It's pretty scary when it happens.

There are actually two tunnels, north and south bound. However at the moment one is closed. So you can meet cyclists coming the other way.

So whats the scores then on your way to work? Bike or car which is quicker?

@jock150 It depends on the traffic. On a quiet day the car will win. On a busy day where there are queues of traffic, the bike would win.
Going by bike is far more fun though, and that is what matters to me! :-)

The ugly actually made me laugh :) Nice video- although that overtake was an absolute shocker!

@paulcuthbert Ah, yes his brake lights were working. What caught me out was the fact that he braked heavily and then stopped braking quickly. His brake check was obviously his attempt to 'get back at me'. Nice!

What's on the handlebars at 8:34. I see a Hope light and what looks like an 80's bike siren (police, ambulance and fire engine).

@WokingTrafficSafety It's a Philips light. I've reviewed it on my website. It is an excellent light for dark country roads.
