  • @MrMorry27 I love how anyone who's been in the strength world for their fair share of time knows who chuck vogelpohl is and we have absolutely no idea of whoever the fuck you are. you train for your specific federation requirements, idiot. 1000 pounds will staple your ass to the floor.

  • @itswhatido100 yeah bench press shirts and the whole nine fucking yards of horse-shit. Powerlifting has become a parody of itself, a special Olympics version. When Paul Anderson squatted 1200 pounds he SQUATTED it. When he benched 620 he benched it right and proper. He was funny too. He had to deadlift Sumo style because his legs were each inches around. I'd love to see a large body of lifters break away and start their own Old School powerlifting competitions. Never happen.

  • I saw him and went class 2. Awesome squat Chuck. Competed in Ohio with you in the 90's.

  • @itswhatido100 We must be about the same age, and I too remember and miss both the depth in the squats and pause in the bench presses, along with the lack of "gear" that is so frequently utilized today. Oh well, move forward...

  • This is stupid. He us lretty much a damn bionicle

  • His raw squat (no belt or wraps) with a stance just than wider shoulder width and a proper walkout? Realistically about 650lbs. Ed Coan in his day would probably do 880lbs+.............under IPF rules. I'm not hating. Just being real.

  • fuckin strong guy but pathetic range of motion

  • @iBenchMoreThanYou No one cares.......

  • I miss the eighties where we had to go much deeper than this to get three white lights. I also miss the days when you actually had to pause the bar on your chest when you benched. Powerlifting has gone to hell in the past twenty five years. Im glad that at least the deadlift is still a real lift.

  • Just consider that its a shitty angle to judge depth from this vid. A lot of PL squats can look high because of huge quads too, because the hip is WAY below the top of the thighs.

  • @iBenchMoreThanYou obviously you didn't do your research. its a specific powerlifting squat. look it up.
