Omg this is bad breeding! Where did you get this poodle from?? Becareful. Standard poodles rarely get aggressive., but only by nature. And they have razor sharp teeth.

This is not normal standard poodle behaviour - not funny - needs to be stopped.
Shame on you!

I love how you yell at your dog when you continue to do somehting that is making it upset. Shame on you. Poodles are intelligent dogs and are people dogs. Yours obviously is not, and I can see why.

Also all the self righteous people posting comments act like your dog never growls. My 2 dogs are well trained and if you do certain things they dont like they will growl.
The point is they will NEVER bite because they know I am the head honcho and that I provide their food and water....plus at the end of the day all 3 of us are best pals.

He is funny. Seems like he needs to be reminded of pack order.
I have a miniature poodle and a husky. My mini always tries to roughhouse with husky. Great dog you have, seems like he just wanted to go to sleep though...lol.

I have a white standard, about 5 years old we estimate. I got her from a rescue center, she has been ill treated. From about 1 year of age she has been bred for pupies, about 3 litter I think, it stunted her growth. She has had no childhood.
This has led to suck on pillows sometimes, and when you call for her she snaps out of it. But if you start messing with erh like that when she si allc alm, she'll get pissed off.
A dog is still a dog, give respect or loose your arm.

the whole "poodles are a sissy breed" goes right out the window when you see this video (not that I condone a poorly trained dog of any kind)

A dog should never growl? The dog is doing it as a warning, to get the person to BACK OFF. If you don't respect an animal and it bites you (after you were WARNED), well then boo hoo for you.
If you pick on a person for long enough, you also get a reaction. It's no different for animals. They're Allowed to have their personal space at times. If this dog does this all the time, when people try to pet him, then it's a problem. The race is intelligent, so there most be a reason for the behaviour
Poodles are smart dogs, shame this one is with ignorant people.....

God... train your dog properly. Your dog should never growl at ANYONE, let alone family members. It shouldn't even growl at strangers. The only time it should go into growling is to send off warnings to protect you from a person it knows is going to bring physical harm to you. This is kind of sad to see.
