I agree with much of this, but I also think that religion has been a powerful tool using patriotism and God to promote the war against Muslims in the middle east. Mostly the "Born Again's leaders" so I don't know how they came up with the school system is trying to stop religion and patriotism when it's been used to promote wars for ever actually. I think they want to stop true (not new age,) spirituality and critical thought.
