Reminds me of all the beautiful things that we as humans have the pleasure of experiencing, but sometimes take for granted: The sunshine on your face, when your laughter becomes an uncontrollable cackle, being barefoot on a summer night under the stars next to a bonfire with all those special friends in your life. Having that angelic woman who gives you butterflies kiss your neck. And last but surely not least. Pure, undiluted happiness alongside your irresistible love affair with life.

I have a three year-old boy. The song just breaks my heart. Somehow the fleeting, blink of an eye nature of childhood is captured in this song: there you go, standing in the sun darling...take good care of your boy...putting on his little red shoes...

Richard Davis has the perfect warmth to his bass playing for Morrison's music. To hear such simplicity played by such a master of abstruse classical and jazz sophistication is spot on and he never lets himself be misguided by "stretching out" and getting lost in the simplicities of a simple mode of only 2 chords and no room to go astray. This is the same Richard Davis that played with Eric Dolphy making revolutionary jazz history in the early 1960's when jazz was in transition after Bird died.

i was grown on this music, by my parents, when i hear it now, i think of everything ive ever known, the whole story, the broken love of my parents, the joyous times and the times of pain, its strengthening beyond words .. i'm privileged to have been raised on the blues, great folk music and soul, and reggae.. i can even remember the early 80's when i was a toddler, and the orange warm glow that seemed to engulf that era ... its everything this music

I love how this song just swings back and forth between the chords I & IV and I & vi, and yet it's so beautiful nonetheless...they don't write music like this anymore.

If this song is not played at my funeral, then I will personally come back and haunt every person I knew in physical reality... If you know me, you know this is my favorite song ever~ I don't have a will, but I am hoping in this age of technology, a comment on youtube will count for something~
