Recorded with FRAPS. Testing out particle physics for large sparks emitting from tank explosions. smoke trails for sparks and impact light source function.


E8400, 4870, 4Gb RAM, Vista x64

With FRAPS ~20-30fps recording, without FRAP recording ~40-50fps.

@WeEatBrainz actually he's right. cryengine 2 is EXTREMELY efficient. you may not know it, but the amount of stuff happening in a cryengine 2 rendered environment is enormous. And all that runs on a singlecore 3 ghz processor on graphics cards prior to the 8th gen with visuals surpassing today's best looking console games.

Amazing I have never seen such utterly amazing particle effects. The physics reactions and tech used is generations ahead of anything else. I am using your particle mod in your link and it runs great. Great work mate!
