Katie? This should be called "the method for conducting an interview" and exclude "good interview". The problem with Katie is that she leaves out important questions and skews the conversation to a certain direction for her own agenda. That isn't journalism... and she shouldn't even be on here.
I never said they were unbias. The difference between Couric and Rush/Sean is that Rush/Sean never claim to be unbias, ask them, they say it all the time when callers call them bias, they agree everytime. Couric HAS claimed to be unbias. She has said it in interviews, and in abiography that was written about her. Also, Rush/Sean arn't considered news reporters, they give their opinions on the news, where bias is ok. Couric is strictly news stories, which calls for unbias, which she is not.
I doubt that anything would convince you otherwise, but reporters try to be objective and do not inject themselves into a story. Obviously, television news is different from print news but I'd like some examples of her bias. Just curious.
It's not so much that she inserts her democratic party bias in her interviews, it's the way she "comes after" her political nemesis. For instance, do you think she would have treated then Sen. Barack Obama the same way she treated Gov. Sarah Palin. I think not. She treats members of the Democratic Party different than she treats Republicans.
Bias is showing more favor towards one thing than another.
Hannity, Rush, and Coulter are all COMMENTATORS. not journalists. Journalists are held to an objective standard, commentators are not. Couric is extremely subjective. This is why fox news, and talk radio pulls in more viewers, and listeners to any 'fringe'/mainstream media. you cant argue with numbers.

Bias is showing more favor towards one thing than another.
