Gold Panning with the 3D printed Gold Pan

Here is one of the versions of the gold pan that I printed with the Makerbot 3D printer. This pan was created by Pandelume and had been uploaded to the Thingiverse website with a request for video if anyone produced gold with the pan.

I had to scale this version down to 3" in order to fit on the MakerBot Cupcake Automated Build Platform. Due to size restrictions of this bot, I had to cheat and load up the pan with some flakes. Regardless, this demo proves that 3D printed gold pans can get the job done.

Now, just to get a different bot in order to make a pan of worthy enough size to actually take it the river.
