2005 yılında Constantinos Angelidis tarafından kurulan ve kısa sürede büyük bir üne kavuşan Tropos Bizans Korosu, Yunan Ortodoks dînî müziklerinin korunması için faaliyet göstermektedir. Bu müziğin yapısı, Türk klâsik müziğinin melodik yapısı ile çarpıcı benzerlikler taşımaktadır. Türk klâsik müziğinin beslendiği ve tarihî süreç içinde icrâ edilip yaşatıldığı en önemli kurum sayılan Mevlevîliğin merkezi Konya'da yapılacak bu konser, bu açıdan da ayrı bir önem arz etmektedir.

Established by Contantinos Angelidis in 2005 and dedicated to preserving the tradition of sacred Greek Orthodox chant, Tropos Byzantine Choir has quickly became one of the most acclaimed choirs in Greece. The structure of this music is strikingly similar to melodic structire of the Turkish Classical Music. This concert is particularly important since the makam was taught and performed mainly in Mevlevi order centers, especially in Konya.
