  • Wrong dates one year later is more accurate date Flag was in its death throwes at this time

  • @stonemojo This isn't the Electric Flag. It's MIke Bloomfield & Friends.It's from the same set of shows that the material from "Live At Bill Grahams fillmore" was taken from.

  • Zman...it's nebnis81...one of your subscribers. Have listened to "Wintry" every morning for 2 weeks. You're savin me man....you're savin me.......

  • @nebnis81 Right on Brother! whenI first got my hands on this disc,I listened to it everyday for a month....mind blowing. Peace !

  • "i hate posting edited tracks" - ZINEDINE05

    Hi Z... I know it's a drag to post edited tracks, but you could do us die-hard Bloomie fans a favor by posting them in 2 parts. These days there are numerous software programs that can join them with ease. Thanks dude!

  • I agree Chavee49. If youve noticed I'm starting to do that,because I have way to much extended material that I want to share with everyone.I hate the 10 minute max on videos.

  • It's sad that the American public is so ignorant about one of this country's greatest blues players. Listen to the live CD of the Butterfield Band doing 3 different versions of East-West. Bloomfield makes time stand still.

  • Hello Zinedine, I´m Curt from sweden, been around Michael in 1970 Keystone Korner SF Cal. He was good, but kind of tired (heroine...) He told me it was great that I came all the way from Sweden to hear him play!!! The opening act was the Tower of Power. 2001 I was happy to play with Naftalin and Eugene Huggins at the "No Name Bar" in Sausalito. We all shared some sweet memories concerning Michael.

    What a spritual guy he was! All the best Z. Curt

  • stonemojo He did it better than Albert or anybody that ever played slow blues or ever will.

  • Let's not miss the lyrics...

    "I'm gonna build me a little snowman, baby;

    Oh I'm gonna cover him with my tears;

    Yes, and when he melts in the spring time,

    Lord, yes, he's gonna take all my thoughts of you;

    Beautiful imagery, easily missed because it's so slow and there is so much soulful response going on from the guitar.

  • @GarySchipper1 and his tone ranged from subtle sighs to angry biting comments. never heard anyone that had such emotional expression in the guitar.

  • Man he makes that thing 'HONK" - damn, the true genius of blues rock guitar, so good it's almost unlistenable!

  • Oh my Lord, PLEASE have mercy on my twisted soul! This is good stuff, people!!!

  • Just in a deep Bloomfield/Greeny mood for days now. Zinedine and Petethemadman are musical facilitators of the highest form.

  • I saw it live in person this and another show the audience was transfixed. At that time Michael was the best slow blues player with Albert king they had this slow blues power awesome to behold. It was Gravinites gig, that is the way Michael worked it.. this song and blues on the Westside on album "My Labors". The horn section wasn't too good though here.
