This whole shutdown bullshit is strictly political. Ever since Obama's victory the Republicans have refused to cooperate on any issue effectively sabotaging this administration. You think the Republicans give two shits about funding abortions?? were talking about chump change in relation to the other expenses in the budget, but because its a moral issue that the religious right can get behind they use it to bring down Obama's reputation once again.

@Googlegirl54 to be honest most people don't realize that there's no such thing as honesty when it comes to media and politicians, phrases such as "biggest spending binge" or "record taxes" all come with asterisks and "not intended to be factual" in small print, then again that's what you get for having the same people who wants the tax cuts own the media, that's why I don't subscribe to cable, I do my part not to give them profits.

@PlayerXT Right! Exactly...They have to give Obama some kind of lead way here. The other Presidents got it as you said. He needs money to work with also. Notice how the Republicans try to look good by saying , With our plan their will be no tax cuts. And when they talk about the Democrats they say the Democrats plan wants tax cuts? They NEVER finish their sentence...ya...tax cuts for the rich that get so many tax breaks its pathetic. Not anyone from middle class or poor families!

I see nothing wrong with unions, if people want to band together and make a collective contract then they should be allowed to, it's as American as the idea that government should be as uninvolved in business as possible.
