I enjoyed your show, Grant. I especially like your take on the "hypnotist is a fake" routine!

@nzhypnosis It is interesting, that concepts like playing an instrument, dancing a certain way to certain music and engaging in urban lifestyle (money, lottery) seem to emerge out of nothing in the person.
I once saw a recording of guys on the stage, who were "taught" chinese in a time of a fingersnap. They believed, they were talking in their own language, not knowing they spoke perfect chinese. This proves to me anyway, that this can not come from things you pick up in life. What about that?

Nice to see someone from the Antipodian area - well done.

yes you're right. well but we can understand why mr.peaceandhappiness concerned about that because many people think that hypnosis is "a mind control so we can use other people like our doll" but in reality,
those people can choose whether they want to accept our suggestions (as a hypnosis practitioner) or to decline it.
well i like this video. Im also a practitioner. this video inspired me to have a new routine for my performs. thank you
you're a fake! *dances* lmao!! fantastic work! :D

Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable about the power of this thing??
Obviously Mr Grant Boddington is a nice respectful man, but what about all the people who can use this in an less respectful way?

@MrPeaceandhappiness Thanks for your concern, but everyone always has the choice as to whether or not they respond to any suggestion. Whether or not they choose to exercise that choice is up to them. Probably more people get taken advantage of by salespeople than by Hypnotists. :)

@nzhypnosis but if they have a choice as to whether or not to follow a suggestion, then that means that they understand what the suggestion is - which means that whatever they do is going to be pretend. If you hypnotize a person that it's hot when he knows that it's cold - then all he can do is pretend that it's hot - he knows perfectly well that it's actually cold. So wherein lies the true hypnosis and the subjugation of the will of the subject to that of the hypnotist?

@gokiburi666 Any decision is made consciously You could say that : conscious=will. The conscious "thinks" the subconscious responds. Remember that the conscious is always there as a "protector" and if needed it will interfere with any suggestions coming in to safeguard the person. Once a trend of compliance has been set up and continued, it becomes less active, so anything getting past it, is simply responded to.
