But notice that GM just lost an entire shift in Oshawa since this video was made. Maxime did not wish to focus on that eventuality so he attacked Scott instead of answering his question.

Bernier didn't need to respond to Scott anymore than he did. GM cutting jobs just happened. regarding the market picking winners and losers, the winners are Honda and Toyota opening new plants. GM is just hurting as a company.

Brison has had a hard time trying to be a Liberal. He is a conservative and now is trying to walk and talk like a Liberal, hence how his 2003 words contrast with his 2007 words. He should come back to The Conservative Party caucus. There are members in it who share his social views, and Harper is NOT a social conservative. He just belives in free votes on such issues and the party has no policy stance on marriage and abortion. Under Harper, it is a bigger tent than too many have concluded.

If the auto industry starts shutting down just because of a conservative govt then they have much more deeper issues.

You know the definition of Question Period: Where the Opposition asks questions that sound more like allegations and the Government pretends to answer them.

The NDP is Left of Centre, the Liberals are Right of Centre, the old Alliance was far right, and the PCs were between the old Alliance and the Liberals, though slightly closer to the Liberals - which is why some PC's later became Liberals after the PC/Alliance "merger" which resulted in the Conservative party.

wow do you know anything about Canadian politics. The PC party is a centrist, moderate party, the reform/conservative group is further right then the republicans of bush. 1- Scott did not cross the floor, he was a member of the PC party, it was killed by peter mackay, so scott was partyless, he made a decision based on principled beliefs, and on the overwhelming advice and support of his constituents. Second, what an ignorant thing to say, that if someone crosses the floor they shouldn't ask questions, ...but i guess coming from an annonymous group who like to bash liberals but aren't brave enough to say who they are, I shouldn't expect anything else.

Give me a break, it is not as if though the Conservatives do not exhibit this duality. Thanks to the new budget, Canadian multinationals cannot deduct the interest of borrowed money they use to acquire foreign assets (or use for earnings). The primary reason banks posted a profit last quarter and increased returns to investors much of whom are Canadian families according to the Globe and Mail? Foreign asset performance. So much for the defense of competitiveness.
