Lenovo IdeaPad U300s review, Lenovo's first Ultrabook. This is a 3 pound, 0.6" thin laptop with an aluminum shell and Intel ULV Core i5 and i7 CPU options. It's a skinnier and smarter version of the U260 that came out earlier this year, and it has the usual 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM and a 128 or 256 gig SSD that are Ultrabook staples. It competes with the MacBook Air, Acer Aspire S3 and the Asus Zenbook UX31, and we spend some time comparing with with the Asus.

  • Another great review! Beautiful laptop as well

    Thanks

  • @nightfire4107 Thanks! :)

  • Does the laptop sit flush when set down on a table? I previously owned a Lenovo X120e and it wasn't flush so every time I went to type the palm rest sank down. I've noticed this happening more frequently with light weight laptops.

  • @wrtucey What do you mean? Did the palm rest/keyboard rock?

  • wonderful review..very professionally done! thanks!

  • @andygarn123 Thanks!

  • @Kimarey depend's on what you use the computer. This is for portability while the U400 is for everyday use.

  • @hkdiva2015 or you could just connect the camera via usb

  • every frikkin ultrabook out there is a mac air clone! except the toshiba which i like a lot.

  • @drakonnanan Actually I thought she meant the envy ultrabook [one plated with glass]. So yeah, I meant the folio.

  • @drakonnanan Well, I guess you could say I was talking about both of them.

  • The only thing that's stopping me from getting or considering this Ultrabook is the absence of an SD Card slot, and I think for a lot of consumers an SD slot is important, since over 95% of the consumers have Digital Cameras.

  • Should I buy this or the U400?

  • @MobileTechReview I think Kingddd333 is talking about the HP Folio 13
