At the Irvington Volunteer Ambulance Corps' Betty Lewit Training Center, we created a useful method for our EMT students to prepare for the NYS Practical Skills Exam, while away from the classroom. In the fall of 2009, Director of Education Benjamin Fontanilles, along some of his dedicated staff and students came together and filmed all 6 NYS PSE stations. We did so using a "real-time" format to simulate a real NYS PSE. Since then, we have encouraged not only our EMT students to learn from the videos, but also our currently certified EMTs as well. We have received positive feedback from countless EMTs from numerous EMS agencies in the area who use these videos as a tool to refresh their skills. You will now find these videos posted on our website, www.irvingtonems.com, to be viewed free of charge! ll we ask is that you get as much out of these educational videos as our EMT students do.
