  • i hate it when they run quarter mile times with a drift car. of course they are going to run slow times thats not what there built for.

  • Since this car was set up to drift, its not surprising that it sucked at 0-60.

  • @xex2kok that's great what you don't think? Who cares? Most turbo kits, if put on a rotary, will cause a loss in HP. Go look at rx8club.com there are tons and tons and tons of guys, who didn't know any better and put turbo kits in their cars and ended with horrid dyno numbers. There's a reason there are rotary specific turbo kits.

  • @FinalBossWTMN

Uhm I really don't think "most turbos make rotarys lose hp" is correct. A renesis engine should be around 10:1 or 11:1 ratio which is not that crazy of a compression ratio. As far as intakes and exhausts making none to very very minimal gains on the rx8, yes that would be mostly true. A midpipe is an exception to that though.

  • @xex2kok no, the turbo most likely lowered the HP. Rotaries are VERY high compression engines, and most turbo kits will lose HP, as well air intakes etc. They said HKS, so they probably used some standard kit, instead of something built for rotaries.

  • @tasatasat I HATE LIVING IN AMERICA! Everyone thinks that just because we're from America, we don't appreciate true racing spirit. There are some of us who do understand TRUE performance!

  • omfg! what a fail. taking a drift car to drag races and wondering how "bad" it is.. jeez.

    is this edmund fool serious?

next time i can see him testing a F1 car in a drift race.. just wait ;)

  • bring on the 180p quality!

  • the car is built for drift not drag thus the name

    uhhh Tokyo ****DRIFT***** not drag

  • even though these cars are legit under the hood. the producers made them rice as fuck

  • I guess that's stupidity in the auto industry from the US imbedded in their brains. All American auto makers care about is how much HP a car has and disregard weight and handling of a car. The Japanese do it right with balancing out weight and power and handling.
