3RD POWER British Dream Combo "ZZ Top Style" '68 Plexi HybridMASTER Demonstration

This video demonstrates the new HybridMASTER™ volume management technology developed by 3RD POWER. HybridMASTER effectively breaks the linkage between the tone and volume of a tube guitar amplifier and is exclusively available on our Dream Series amplifiers.

This video captures the tone of the '68 Plexi channel on the British Dream 112 combo amplifier loaded with a Celestion Alnico Gold 12" speaker and our proprietary Switcback speaker chamber set to "open-back" mode.

The guitar we used for this clip was a '89 Gibson Les Paul Standard using the bridge pickup. Ford Thurston provides the juicy feel on guitar.

The recording path was bare-bones: Guitar straight into the amp, SM57 close-miked straight into a Digi 002. No plug-ins or outboard EQ or compression were added - NONE! Just a touch of reverb and that's it.
