In my opinion, I say yes. I live in Tampa and have so my entire life. Miami is just more expensive, housing wise, and more crowded. It also has more crime. Tampa has nice things to do for families too, such as the new Glazer Children's Museum, Busch Gardens, the Florida Aquarium, etc. South Tampa, Carrollwood, and New Tampa/Tampa Palms are pretty good places to raise a family. Also, Tampa is closer to Disney World. :)
I came down from a a small town in the vancouver district thats boring as hell and theirs nothing to do at all literally I came down here like last month and their was always stuff to do around their ecpesciallt sk8in you tampians got some good sk8 spots :) lol but its a great city
@nostalgiamelancolia1 you must have been in Ybor city, because the Tampa I grew up in isn't anything like that. Yes, there are some rather "ghetto" areas of it (Ybor City) but almost every city in America has bad areas. As for the lack of education, what are you talking about? I bet you just made the assumption that because we are down south, we are a bunch of stupid hillbillies. my cousins that also grew up in Tampa were honors students in high school and one made it into law school.
People who like this ghetto town really don't have good tastes.Tampa is a horrible town full of ghetto areas and ghetto folks who lack a good education.most people do smoke including teenagers, drivers are extremely rude, women look dirty and men act bully and stuck-up.the streets are in very bad condition, and people look away from you when you're either driving or walking down the streets 'cause they're a bunch of retarded, backward and snobs from the dirty, dirty, dirty Deep South.
Don't take this the wrong way though....love Miami...just think Tampa is better to raise a family.
