I wish no one had ever came up with the idea of sub-genres. Can't everyone just agree that Textures are fucking sick and leave it there?

@kratoslavandsanchez probably, but "technical progressive metal" is a genre that don't even exists, the "technical death metal" genre was created mixing progressive metal with death metal, it have elaborate songs with changes on song's time signatures, it is heavier than prog metal and not necesarily have to be as heavy as death metal is, that's why i think that they're that genre.

There are definitely "math" fibers weaved into their music. They're progressive, although they do have recurring passages in a majority of the songs on the album. They are DEFINITELY metal. Sounds like progressive math-metal to me.
