Cool thing about the videos of these for the Big 4 anyway, Metallica's riff video has over 19'000 views, Megadeth's has over 14'000 views, Slayer's has over 10'000 views, and Anthrax has over 5'000 views. That's exact;y what I expected, most famous band gets the most views, and it goes down from there. Fame DOES seem to matter, even in thrash metal.

@MrHoopla Yeah, great observation. And just below them are Artillery, Exodus and Annihilator on just over 4000 each. And then a similar pattern for Destruction and Kreator etc. I could almost do a Top 100 based on views.

Just so you know, but I manged to make one of my friends to see, rather hear, the 60 vids from the 500 thrash metal riffs... my friends have no endurance at all :/

@Headbanginginparadis If you play the Top 10 playlist on the top right, it will play for 24 hours before you hear all the Riffs. Now THAT is endurance. The 500 Thrash Metal Riffs playlist only takes 9 hours to get through (and many have) LOL

Anyway, great list, personal and not trivial. I totally agree for Altar, Jesus, At Dawn, Captor but generally all the list. I fucking love Slayer! Seing them live was so amazing!!!

@NBrambilla95 Yeah, I've seen em live many times. They NEVER disappoint. One of the best was Download 2004 when they moved from the main stage to the second stage so they could get a better sound. They ruled the festival!

@element271 This is Slayer man. How do you do a Top 10 for them. They just do brutal Riff after Riff after fuckin Riff. And name a Riff already on the vid that isn't worthy. There isn't one. Just can't fit any more in. I think I had about 40 Riffs to choose from. Probably the toughest task of all the Top 10s I've done. I've seen em countless times live and they deliver every precision Riff note for note every time. They are juggernauts of thrash metal! Long may they reign...in blood!

Holy fuck, i love Slayer. Just the fact that they sound like they are playing at full speed Mach 10. Dave Lombardo constantly like he is about to fall over his drum-kit through just going too damn fast. Brilliant.

@ThrashMetalRiffs Thanks for his. I'm a late developer to Slayer. I love the likes of Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Purple, Dio, Gallagher,Zep & apart from Metallica & Megadeth haven't paid much attention to Slayer as I'd thought it was just a wall of noise. But I got Reign of Blood up on Youtube & I know it's sounds funny, but feel I've made a significant discovery. They are awesome. all this nonsense about Satanists. I'm a Christian (of sorts), but fuck what the holy rollers say. Thanks again!!
