This is a cabin sized hotel room that I'm staying in while visiting NYC over Labor Day weekend. The Jane was built in 1908 by William A. Boring, an exciting man who also was the architect for Ellis Island's immigrant station. In 1912, survivors of the Titanic stayed here. Now I'm here an king of my cabin which is no more than 50 square feet.

  • Hahahaha

  • .....can you beleive that in 1985, I had a large sleeping room in a hotel two blocks from uc berkeley for $200 a month? It was old, but clean...the rooms were twice as big as the ones at the Jane.....sometimes in a difficult world, we get a break!

  • at least the concept of the hotel is cool, and its history is also interesting. It's also better than staying in a one of those capsule hotels.

  • its the future of sleeping...its how japan does it

  • It's a pod hotel. And one of the cheapest in Manhattan.

  • Why did you wanna stay there?

  • A PALACE, I tell you! I once stayed three weeks in a small paper sack at the bottom of a lake.
