Sorry, you don't understand libertarianism. He doesn't want to take anyone's right to believe even the most fallacious nonsense, but he has right to criticize that nonsense when it's imposed on others. It's simple, keep your religion to yourself and don't mix it with the state which should be neutral.

If anything, they're on the exact same page as the Creationists, side by side. Maher will spend one breath ridiculing Creationists and then the next sputtering out the exact same arguments they utilize, only reappropriated to fit his unsupported beliefs.

They each borrow arguments out of the other's playbook, right down to phoney deathbed retractions from Darwin/Pasteur.

@sumbarine Oh, and of interest : scientists have also discovered that some particles appear to change their properties...only when their being observed. Scientists have also discovered energetic particles blink in and out of existence all the time, throughout our known universe.

#1 so far it appears that energy can and does *poof* itself in and out of existence at random.

#2 so far it does appear as if particles can be effected by simply being looked at.

Look up 'the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox'. Einstein knew when he wrote the Theory of Relativity that it didn't square away with several aspects of the subatomic.

The fact that sub-particles appear to go faster than the speed of light, is just another discovered difference between atomic and subatomic. That's what's new.

@sumbarine There's a difference between how 'the very big' (large than atomic) and how 'the very small' (smaller than atomic) operate. To claim relativity 'is proven wrong' is nonsense. It was just proven not to apply to the very small...which quantum physicists have known for decades.

Recently in CERN Switz Scientists proved Einsteins Theory of relativity wrong,just like Science held Mercury(a poison) was good for indegestion.Evolution ? funny how over thousands of years & in the present time no one has ever seen or observed one species converting into another.A species developing something minor to better adapt is another thing.& billion people w different DNA,perfect laws of physics(Earth tilting) came about thru a few cellls evolving or Big Bag Boom,horseshit !
