On October 8, 2011, Kavitha & Sunill became husband and wife. They chose the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California to celebrate their wedding day. They began their day at the resort, where they both got ready with their family and bridal party. The property is set up perfectly for a Indian weddings, beautiful and spacious for a grand baraat! The baraat was led by Malinder Tooray, their dhol player, and Parag Shah, the mobile DJ. As the groom arrived on the white horse, his groomsmen and guest had a great time dancing! They proceeded to the entrance of the ceremony, where Kavitha's family greets the groom with a welcoming ceremony called 'Swagatam'. They held a traditional Hindu ceremony, with South Indian (Tamil) wedding customs. It is customary for the bride and groom to change into reception outfits for the evening after the ceremony. The reception was held in the evening at the Grand Ballroom.
Behind the scenes: They decided to go with one of our cinematic packages, which included preparation shots, 3 Canon 5D cameras for ceremony, 2 Canon 5D cameras for the reception, a full length extended reel (about 3 hours) along with a highlight reel (10 minutes). Client will also received the hard drive and all raw files with their package.
