@TheStacieMay Actually, even a Veterinary surgeon suggests crossbreeding them to cure the problems. Obviously it would have to be carefully done, ensuring no major problems would mismatch together. Unhealthy dogs shouldn't be bred in first place. Crossbreeding is the best of solutions we have so far, to eliminate disabled dogs, such as the bulldog, etc...

The best solution for these problems would be to mix all the breeds up and start over again. Though, you can garentee people will not allow this and continue with the current breeds.

Does the KC really not have standards for temperament? The AKC does have temperament guidelines for various dogs (i.e. if a schnauzer is timid, that's a serious fault).
