Thank God someone in the U.S. reconized what cnas do for the medical profession. When I go into a patients room, I'm always called "nurse." But when I tell them that I'm just a nurse aide they say, " Whats a nurse aide ?" We don't even exist to the patients, nurses, or doctors. In my 9 yrs. of working as a cna, not once has a nurse told me what a good job I'm doing. Except for a therapist. And that meant the world to me.
