This game's main audiences were math and physics geeks, with the occasional hunter thrown in the mix. It utilizes a simplified formula for ballistics, the MPH is actually the force used to launch the person from the cannon (initial velocity). The windage is a constant- I believe blowing against you considering the rate of deceleration (usually a variable). The game is certainly not for everyone, but it finds its way into my Atari marathons frequently.

This is one game that didn't age so well, but I remember falling in love with it in the store when I was a kid.

@TheRitva26 And why you felt the need to state that, I'll never know.
-
Looks fun to play if you add beer into the equation!

Hey aqualung, if you do another NES review, try one of the 2 zelda games.
-
@TheRitva26 it does, really. Especially at a 90-degree aim. Or a 45 degree, if you cut the rear support off of the cannon.

0:30 Great retro artwork! Classic.
I don't think I ever played this, but seeing it it really seems familiar.

the cannon looks like a penis

I saw that game as a kid, but never played it.

Yeah, this was a pretty lousy Atari game, even 30 years ago. But early videogames from the 1970s were highly experimental. Heck, the idea of playing games on your TV set was a novelty.
