Part 5: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=VPZcxQhUc9E

Documentary on the events that led to the economic collapse of Argentina in 2001 which wiped out the middle class and raised the level of poverty to 57.5%. Central to the collapse was the implementation of neo-liberal policies which enabled the swindle of billions of dollars by foreign banks and corporations. Many of Argentina's assets and resources were shamefully plundered. Its financial system was even used for money laundering by Citibank, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan. The net result was massive wealth transfers and the impoverishment of society which culminated in many deaths due to oppression and malnutrition. Official name: Memoria del Saqueo by Fernando Solanas 2003.

  • Actually George Bush is our Menem, he was the one who deregulated financial institutions and imposed tax cuts to the billionaires. He's the one who destroy u.s. economy.

  • @jenniferashley99 Obama is more like the current president, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, actually. He leans towards socialism -that isn't a bad word, it just means the government wants to take care of you without getting its hands in your property-, whereas Bush, like Menem, prioritized the handling of public money by private corporations.

  • @bbayagor He's a contributor.

  • Menem shaking his fists in those fake 1989 speeches are so corny

he was such a fake actor, howcould people fall to him?

  • @justascarletwoman They've all been bad to me. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and a few others are about the only politicians I trust in Washington. We need to end the Fed and take this country back

  • @bbayagor I would have compared him to the dictator(s) of the 1970's and early 80's who brought war upon Argentina. The real problem has been almost all the presidents so far in the 20th century. The last one I liked was Ford because he vetoed a lot and tried to decrease spending to stop inflation. The biggest problem is the federal reserve, if they didn't manipulate credit we wouldn't have had this credit crunch and housing bubble. Regulation is not necessary if you have sound money

Tarde te vas a dar cuenta...

  • @justascarletwoman I would say that Obama is like a De la Rua coming after Menem.

LTA
