Every spring at my high school, Mary D. Bradford High, the choir has a tradition: former members of the choral program who graduated in previous years return during the A Capella Choir Spring Concert to sing Kirby Shaw's arrangement of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." It is also sung by the A Capella Choir and any graduating choir members at the senior graduation, and as I graduated recently, I had the distinct pleasure of doing so in front of over 500 of my fellow seniors. What a moment that was. This recording was done at the 2010 Spring Concert (all the choirs sang at one performance because A Capella couldn't of memorized enough songs to have a concert by themselves in time). I was not a member of A Capella, but our teacher invited the seniors to sing it then anyway.
I have only one picture because I'm lazy, and I posted this more for the song than for a slide show. I hope you love this song as much as I do!
Enjoy!

  • My choir has the same sort of tradition, and there is always that one person crying in the backround in the recording.
