  • @danf321 I remember that movie! Was a stupid story but it was my first introduction to this piece also.

  • I love Ugorski's understanding of this piece.

  • I first heard this piece in a Warner Bros film from the '40's starring Peter Lorre called "The Beast With Five Fingers". Don't laugh, it was quite a good movie. The story of a concert pianist who had a stroke and could only play the piano with his left hand. A music writer wrote him a variation of this piece meant to be played by the left hand only. After dying, the pianists left hand was cut off and it played this piece by itself. Good movie of a stupid story. Wonderful.

  • @tommyIglesias

ohh you shouldn't count on that :P I think the Busoni version is more work yes, not nec. very harder but very worth it :)

  • i love busonis version, but im not skilled enough to play it, so i can try this one, is just one hand jajaja

    cheers!
