Deficiency diseases, medical drugs and toxins, poor posture all lead to hyperventilation. Correction of slouching shoulders and all other problems make breathing easier and slower.
Medical drugs, as well as toxins from and pollution from air, water, and food generate stress for the immune system and organs of elimination. They all make our breathing deeper and faster causing lower values of CO2 in the lungs and arterial blood. Elimination of toxic chemicals from air, water and food sources slow down our breathing rates and prevent hyperventilation. In some people, various chemicals can even cause allergic reactions that have a very strong negative effect on respiration.
When we slouch due to slouching shoulders, we cannot breathe using the diaphragm. Chest or costal breathing is very inefficient, since it reduces blood oxygenation (lower parts of the lungs do not get fresh air) and causes lymphatic stagnation in all visceral organs (liver, kidneys, stomach, both colons, etc.).
Straight spine and correction of posture releases the diaphragm and makes breathing lighter so that we can have more oxygen in the arterial blood and excellent lymphatic drainage of the internal organs.

Poor posture and slouching shoulders effects are due to costal breathing. It causes hyperventilation and less oxygen in cells:
