@weinerschnitzelboy Actually, Arial looks more like a clone of Univers to me. And honestly, this Eric Speikerman really shouldn't be taken seriously. He's a shit designer that overly loves humanist typefaces. Both of his most popular fonts (Meta and Officina) are pretty ugly.

If you dnt understand the beauty of Helvetica, Go kill yourself!

@DieMenschMaschine1 It's not a bad thing that it's Job's fault. They are saying cause of him and his success with the first Macs with GUI's, Microsoft wanted something exactly like Helvetica but didn't want to pay for the license, so Microsoft hired a group of people to create a new font. One that looks exactly like Helvetica and is called Arial

@thatapplegeek Actually, I noticed that in Safari (Mac's default web browser) renders web pages in Helvetica. The whole UI though, uses Lucida Grande. Which is also a nice font.

Apple is the one that has the best font for reading on computers, helvetica, as the default font

Fonts on computers were basically SJ's invention with the mac, I don't see how you can blame a not that bad but not great font on him.
-
I don't understand why Arial is Steve Jobs' fault. The blame clearly lies with Microsoft as THEY were the ones who distributed it in the first place.

I can't understand a thing beside the fact his german accent it does not help

Please add subtitles! It's hard to understand what Erik says!

I have seen other interview when he talks great things about Helvetica. As the modern font for the people and so on.
Yes, subtitles would have been a better option.
