KCS, TFM, CP, CEFX, exConrail, EMD like SD40-2's, GP38-2's, and roaring SD70M-2's...even an SD45-2 makes an appearence, all in the 3 days before New Years! If you include the UP in the last video, and the BNSF in the upcoming video, it has been quite a diverse holiday. To everyone here, Happy New Years! Enjoy!

CP 165 (NS 31J) runs quite early in the night at 22:35, normally this train is after midnight.

16T, at 01:30 in the morning, has some very southern power. Little did I know that later this evening NS would be generous enough to swap the KCS to lead 15T too!
KCS SD70MAC 3928
TFM SD70MAC 1639
NS D9-40CW 9726

H48 returns as light power, and strangely enough, there is an E-Bell on the switcher.
NS MP15DC 2408
NS MP15DC 2424

I12 (Late section of 212) with a nice SD70M-2 / blue duo.

H33
NS GP38-2 5644
NS GP38-2 5303

19G has a nice trio of engines, but unfortunately very little throttle noise, despite heading uphill.
NS SD40-2 3433
NS SD40-2 3260
NS SD40-2 3340

12-29-09
33A illuminated by the sun at the horizon, wow.
NS D9-40CW 9431
NS ES40DC 7615

12-29-09
15T, an even better angle and shot of the southern power.
KCS SD70MAC 3928
NS D9-40CW 9726
TFM SD70MAC 1639

12-30-09
211 returns with I12 power, but this time big blue leads.
NS D8-40CW 8438 "Conrail Quality"
NS SD70M-2 2728

12-30-09
I0G (late section of 20G) at a location a rarely visit.
NS D9-40CW 9847
NS SD70 2554

12-30-09
19G has a rare SD45-2 in tow for JBS (notice that nice Rock Island hopper behind the power).
NS D9-40CW 9272
NS D9-40CW 8905
NS SD45-2 1703

12-30-09
16T heads east at what seems ridiculously fast—faster than 50 MPH, which is the speed limit.

  • You shot the 19G GOOD, what are you talking about from before?! I didn't see anything wrong with it, you even got some nice light on it too.

  • Haha, but he's in like notch 1, I would have rather have him THROTTLING like mad, like the 65J I caught. You know I keep HIGH standards, hehe. I'm thawing out after chasing a military train...

  • Great shot's, not meaning to be picky but you say H33 in the video while H48 in the description.

  • The description is always correct. I'm glad to see people actually reading the description, thanks.

  • nice video but just to let you know the engine you thought was an sd45 is really a gp50 our 7000 numbers

  • Uh no, 1703 is an SD45-2 (rebuilt with a 16-645-E3).
