استاد گرامی و استادان و دوستداران دیگر موسیقی ایران زمین!...چون فردوسی و حافظ و مولانا؛چون درویش خان و عارف و بهار؛چون هزاران هنرمند با نام و گمنام ایرانی؛موسیقی و هنر خویش را فقط در خدمت آزادی و آبادی میهن خویش قرار دهید و به ویژه در مقابل این حکومت ضد موسیقی و ضد ایرانی(و هر حکومت مستبد و ضد ایرانی دیگر!) بایستید و به با ادامه موسیقی ملی و آزاده خویش بدانید که در دل تاریخ همیشه زنده خواهید بود و مردم چون مولانا با ساز شما خواهند خواند :" ز زندان خلق را آزاد کردم/روان عاشقان را شاد کردم!

I'm not a person of Persian ancestry, nor do I understand Farsi of any sort. Having said that, I have to say that I had a mid-1990s concert experience involving Lotfi and small ensemble that 'blew my mind,' so to speak. Kabir Helminski recited English versions of Rumi poetry, and the music was quite literally transcendental. It was also my first experience of the daf, and as anyone who has heard that super-drum in person knows, it's soul-shaking in and of itself. M. Lofti: one of the best!

I have sat at the feet of Ostad Lotfi as a Student in Ensemble and Solo in setar , tar and rubab for many years.
I have seen what none of you ever have , he plays every , and i mean every persian instrument to a degree of liberation you cannot fathom.
He devotes his entire being to the sharing of knowledge , recently he had 300 students in 1 week .
Free.
I sit back and shake my head at the comments made out of utter ignorance.

I agree with you. Although I'm not a professional musician but i like Lotfi very much. His music is just heavenly.
